Burgo Group is partner of La Milanesiana 2025
With over 60 appointments in 20 Italian cities and hamlets, the 26th edition of La Milanesiana suggests a cross-cutting dialogue between the arts and disciplines, ranging from literature, music, cinema, art, philosophy, theatre, science, law, economics, sport and comics.
This year, for the first time, Burgo Group is a partner of the event, renewing the commitment to promoting culture and enhancing the potential of paper as a vehicle for ideas, emotions and shared intelligence.
Intelligenza (intelligence) is precisely the theme chosen for this edition of La Milanesiana: a topical and complex concept investigated in all its facets to stimulate transversal thought. Numerous protagonists of the international cultural scene will be guests at the event, including Nobel, Pulitzer, Oscar and Booker Prize winners.
As part of the rich 2025 programme, Burgo Group will support the event in two noteworthy appointments.
The first on the calendar is Intelligenza / 4 – La vita normale, scheduled for 29 May at 9 pm at the Franco Parenti Theatre in Milan. The event features a reading by Paolo Giordano (winner of Premio Strega 2008), a dialogue with Yasmina Reza (winner of Prix Renaudot 2016), the awarding of the Jean-Claude and Nicky Fasquelle Prize to Yasmina Reza, and a concert by Ramin Bahrami.
The second event in collaboration with Burgo Group is the exhibition Buon Compleanno Linus. 1965–2025: 60 anni di fumetto d'autore, curated by Elisabetta Sgarbi and Marcello Garofalo and with the collaboration of Igort.
Realised with the contribution of Ciaccio Arte, this exhibition celebrates the 60th anniversary of Linus, the magazine that revolutionised comics and pop culture in Italy, and the 50th anniversary of Pimpa and Cipputi, two iconic characters created by Altan.
The inauguration of the exhibition will be on 3 June at 12 pm in the Cortile d'Onore of the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, with the participation of Italy's Minister of Culture Alessandro Giuli, the Councillor for Culture of the Municipality of Milan Tommaso Sacchi, the Director of the Pinacoteca di Brera Angelo Crespi, the CEO of Burgo Group Ignazio Capuano, Altan, Igort and Elisabetta Sgarbi.
La Milanesiana catalogues are printed on Burgo Papers
Throughout the festival there will be eight exhibitions, each accompanied by its catalogue, a general catalogue and a folding programme. All these materials are printed on Burgo Group papers: R4 and Selena.
