MATESPACK chooses Mosaico

The first Level I Master's Degree in "Sustainable Materials and Technologies for Polymeric and Cellulose Packaging” course (MATESPACK) has taken place, with the aim of training highly qualified professionals who will become experts in the field of packaging.

The Master's Degree is dedicated to first and second level graduates in technical and scientific subjects and aims to provide all the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for training experts and preparing them to take up positions in companies operating in the sector, in the fields of both plastics and cellulose.

Aware of how the packaging sector is constantly evolving, the Scientific Organising Committee has decided to involve representatives from the industrial world to provide students with up-to-date information, technical details and case studies.

With reference to the paper sector in particular, it would not have been possible to overlook a reference company such as Mosaico Specialty Papers, a Group company that deals with the production, development and marketing of special papers for the packaging sector.

The main topics discussed by Salerno Anzo Filippetto and Fabio Pollon, representing Mosaico, included the production and processing of paper, additives and processing aids used to obtain the various types of paper, specific processing for packaging (polythene and chemical and mechanical surface treatments) and, finally, the essential characteristics for cellulose products to be classified as recyclable or compostable.
