Burgo Group renews its partnership with La Milanesiana
The 27th edition of La Milanesiana will begin on 24 May, travelling across 18 cities throughout Italy with more than 60 events.
Created and directed by Elisabetta Sgarbi, La Milanesiana is a space for dialogue between languages, perspectives and disciplines, bringing together leading Italian and international guests and transforming each event into an opportunity for reflection, discovery and exchange.
The theme of this edition is “Desire and Law” — two opposing yet deeply interconnected forces whose relationship represents one of the most relevant questions of our time. The dialogue between them becomes a fertile ground for reflection on boundaries — moral and territorial — as well as on self-discipline, freedom and responsibility. There is no opposition between the two poles: it is precisely Law that gives shape to Desire, making it perceptible, intense and meaningful.
The partnership with Burgo Group
All printed materials for La Milanesiana — including the programme and the catalogues of the five exhibitions — are produced on Burgo papers.
Burgo Group is also partner of two exhibitions and two major events within the programme. Together, these four appointments create a cultural journey connecting Piedmont and Lombardy — and, more broadly, literature, music, theatre, philosophy, art and comics.
Milo Manara. The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco

The exhibition presents the plates with which Milo Manara reinterprets The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco.
The opening ceremony on 3 June at 7:00 pm will feature Milo Manara, Elisabetta Sgarbi and Chiara Teolato.
Dialogue between Milo Manara and Nicola Piovani – Reggia di Venaria Reale
3 June – Cappella di Sant’Uberto, Venaria Reale
On the same day as the exhibition opening, at 9:00 pm, Milo Manara will take part in a dialogue with Nicola Piovani, followed by a piano concert by the Maestro.
The event will be held in the stunning Cappella di Sant’Uberto inside the Reggia di Venaria Reale.
Massimo Cacciari Lecture and Ramin Bahrami Concert – Piccolo Teatro Paolo Grassi, Milan
9 June – Piccolo Teatro Paolo Grassi, Milan
On 9 June at 9:00 pm, the Piccolo Teatro Paolo Grassi will host a lecture by Massimo Cacciari dedicated to the 2026 theme of La Milanesiana: Desire and Law.
The evening will conclude with a concert by Ramin Bahrami, featuring a tribute to Franz Liszt.
Wainer Vaccari. Desiderio e Capricci

The exhibition WAINER VACCARI. DESIDERIO E CAPRICCI opens on 30 June at 5:00 pm. The opening will include an introduction by Vittorio Sgarbi, together with contributions from the artist Wainer Vaccari and Elisabetta Sgarbi.
